Caring nature
We are always interested in hearing from people who are qualified Carers, but we are equally pleased to hear from people who have an affinity with people, a caring nature and a big heart.
Laurels Home Care supporters are carefully selected and given an intense induction programme which includes first aid, fire safety, protection of vulnerable adults, basic food hygiene, infection control and safer client moving and handling. Time is also spent shadowing experienced home care supporters. You will be regularly assessed by coordinators and have annual appraisals and regular supervisions and will be fully supported in your work and professional development by the management team.
Investing in our people
As a Home Care supporter you will be qualified to NVQ level 2 in Care or will work towards that qualification. You will also receive on going training in areas like dementia care and sensory deprivation to ensure you have the necessary skills to support our clients.
