Our new office includes a training suite for our care workers, this has wifi for access for carers, visitors and the latest techology in interative learning as well as pc's and laptops for carer to use.

CQC seeks feedback on guidance for registration of all health and adult social care services
The Care Quality Commission (CQC) launched a consultation on guidance outlining what health and adult social care services will need to do to meet new legally enforceable registration standards. The Laurels Home Care welcomes change and hopes that the consultation process will improve quality for all sectors of health and social care services. We look forward to reading the consultation document and will provide feedback to the Care Quality Commssion.
Care Quality Commision
The Commission of Social Care Inspection has been replaced by the Care Quality Commsission. The CQA will now inspect and regulate not only Home Care, Care Home and Nursing Homes but will inspect NHS Trusts, GP Surgeries and other health care bodies.
LEAD Programme
Wilson Briggs has been accepted on the LEAD programme at the management and Leadership school at Lancaster University. LEAD is specifically designed for owner managers of small, medium enterprises. The programme concentrates on two areas of the business: the business itself and the personal development of the owner-manager, providing a framework to increase profitability, diversify and grow the business.
Switchover Help Scheme
Older viewer and those in receipt of certain disability benefits may qualify for help from the Switchover Help Scheme. If you are eligible the scheme will help you to make the switch to digital TV. It will make sure that digital TV is explained to you, that you’re provided with all the equipment that is needed to switch one of your TV’s, and that installation is taken care of for you. Laurels Home Care Achieves investors In People Award
The Laurels Home Care has attained the prestigious Investors in People (IIP) standard and is one of only a handful of Home Care providers in the UK to now be accredited. The management and carers were interviewed over two days, the report highlighted several areas of strength.
