Switchover Help Scheme
Older viewer and those in receipt of certain disability benefits may qualify for help from the Switchover Help Scheme. If you are eligible the scheme will help you to make the switch to digital TV. It will make sure that digital TV is explained to you, that you’re provided with all the equipment that is needed to switch one of your TV’s, and that installation is taken care of for you. This scheme is open to you if you:
- Eligible people are those aged 75 years and older
- Are registered blind or partially sighted
- Are living in a care home for more than 6 months
- Are eligible for attendance or consultant attendance allowance, or mobility supplement, or disability living allowance.
