Laurels Home Care is managed by a team of three family members who have years of experience in care provision and in training and development of Care Services in the UK.
The Team
Wilson Briggs
Wilson is Laurel Home Care Registered Manager and has 15 years experience in Health and Social Care including the role of Deputy Manager of the Laurels Care Home for 5 years. Wilson has an NVQ level 4 Registered Managers Award and an HND in Business and Finance and constantly updates all guidelines and best practice recommendations.
Pat Briggs
Pat has over 30 years experience as Manager of the Laurels Care Home. Prior to this she worked at Carlton Clinic caring for people with mental health problems and dementia. Pat is an NVQ assessor and internal verifier for ‘Beecaretrained’ and takes responsibility for ‘The Laurels’ NVQ's in Health and Social Care and their quality assurance.
Kathreen Burns
Kathreen has been the manager at the Laurels Care Home for over 5 years and is Training Manager for Laurels Home Care, ensuring staff are up to date in all aspects of care. As a Registered Nurse with a BSc(Hons) Nursing, Kathreen has vast nursing experience. Kathreen has an NVQ level 4 Registered Managers Award and a Post Graduate Diploma in Education – she has also lectured at the University of Cumbria.
